DVD and Season 3

We got what was essentially the first draft of the Season 2 DVD in the mail last week. For the first attempt, it wasn't bad at all.

We totally nailed the box art though. Don't change a thing.

There were a few problems with the overall video quality that needed to be fixed, and the audio commentary slowly got out of sync with the video, with it being nearly a full minute off at the end of it all. We also wanted to tweak the menus a little bit. I can't really get any more specific without spoiling exactly what it's going to look like, but I can say with confidence that the overall quality is much better than the previous DVD. Fixing the video quality took a little longer than expected so we're getting the next evaluation copy tomorrow. Hopefully everything will be good to greenlight for printing!

Joseph, Tim, and I are writing a little bit of Season 3 every day. It's pretty tough to try and tie things together for the final season, but we're slowly getting it all organized. From what we have so far, it's looking to be merging the found-footage style of Season 1 with the detective style of Season 2. Can't wait to get started on it!

  2. So excited! I really enjoyed that finally of finding out that Tim (at least at that moment) was on Jay's side. Also the way you handled us hoping that Jay would find Alex during first season and then completely shifting that around to a, "good lord, Alex is the biggest walking douchebag in history! >:U" sort of revelation.

You guys are getting close to done -- continue patting yourselves on the back forever, also getting lots of money. Can't wait to pick up the season 2 DVD.

  4. Haha love the cover. It really does remind me of a bootleg that's passed around small circles.

    Good luck on Season 3.

  6. I really do want more detective style. It's much scarier to me to know that what I'm watching is meant to be taking place in real time, and not just really old footage Jay edits together while he squats in an hotel somewhere wearing a cozy blanket.

  7. I haven't checked in here for some time because I thought it was getting boring, but the last several posts are great quality so I guess I'll add you back to my daily bloglist. You deserve it friend :)

  8. Mister Wagner, I want to let you know, the DVD says Disc 1 has "Entries 26-46" when it starts at 27.

So yeah. If this ends up being this run's "Filmamker," I am proud to have the first edition.

  9. Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but other than that, this is a great read. I will certainly be back.
